Day 47

Day 47

2 FEB 2012

Yesterday I was so exhausted I didn’t update the blog. I went to the house and got the stairs sanded and another coat of poly put on.

Me and hubby went to Lowes and got 20 boxes of tile for the upstairs “man cave”. We also got pulls for the cabinets and a new light for the kitchen. (I couldn’t stand a ceiling fan in the kitchen). The ceiling fan was disgusting! It had grease caked on it. We then took everything we got and took it back to the house.

Today I got to the house early and I took the hard wood flooring that was in the “man cave” and put it in the pink room. (It is actually going into the Harley room). Then I moved the 20 boxes of tile upstairs to the Harley room. I swept upstairs and got it ready for hubby to lay tile. If you have never carried tile upstairs, I do not recommend it! Not unless you want to feel like you just had a Julian Michaels work out!

I then moved on to the downstairs bathroom. I cut in the paint and then painted it. It is a light green color and so beautiful! It turned it into a whole new room!

After I finished that, I sanded the stairs and put the 5th coat of poly on them. (I hope this is the last coat but it may not be).

Hubby got there and took ceiling fan out of kitchen and I cleaned it. When I say cleaned it, I mean I took a scrub brush and SCRUBBED it! He then put my light up in the kitchen for me. I do not have photos of that yet because we didn’t have any 60 watt light bulbs to put in it. He was hanging the light when I left. I had to come home to finish laundry. I am sure he is taking up the linoleum in the “man cave” and getting it ready for tile tomorrow. Here are some photos. I am in real need of a shower.

    1. Thank you :) I wanted the sunflowers for the knobs but they are over 8 dollars EACH! Can't wait to see how everything comes together.
