Day 27

12 JAN 2012

Today was a long day at the house. Hubby and I got up around 6:30 and he went to the house around 7:30ish. I had to run some errands. Post Office, Wal-Mart, Lowes, the bank and then stopped to get lunch. Arbys …… it’s good mood food lol While I was doing that, hubby and guy 1 were at the house putting primer on the man cave room. It was a dark Crimson color. (I forgot to take photos of that!) I should have to show the before primer and after primer but will be sure to get photos of it when the paint is on it.

I finished putting the second coat of paint on 2 of walls in master bedroom and closet and also the first coat on a couple of the walls in the closet. Once that was complete, we went to Lowes. (I cannot tell you how many trips that one made but it is a lot!) When we got to Lowes, hubby went his way to get the things he needed and I was in the paint section picking out a paint color for the stairs. I choose about 5 different colors for hubby to choose from (figured I couldn’t go wrong letting him choose ONE color in the house) lol Out of all the colors, he chose Khaki. Which was perfectly fine with me because I liked all 5 colors I wanted him to pick from, but I just thought that was so typical male. Sorry babe J After we (he) picked the color for the stairway, we went to pick out a sink. I got the sink I wanted! And it was under $200.00! It is white, sits deep and the middle of it is low so that when you wash pans, the pan is allowed to sit flat in the sink. It is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! ♥ it! Then he told me to pick out the hardware for it. (Faucet) You wouldn’t think it would be to hard to pick a faucet out! Do I want black or do I want white to match the sink? If I get white, will it be too much white? Will the white faucet be too much against the white backsplash? Ohhhh look! They have stainless Steel faucets. But I got black appliances, which surely wouldn’t look right. YEAH! It was an easy choice! Only took me about 30 minutes to choose one. It’s harder than it sounds! Really it is. Lol

After that was all done, we went to pick out track lighting for the upstairs “man cave”. Hubby always says “what’s up with this “man cave” stuff. He doesn’t get it. Maybe I should just say, the room we will be watching all the Alabama games in with the Alabama carpet, Alabama photos, signed footballs and Alabama memorabilia. YUP! EXACTLY! The MAN CAVE! Hehehehe

So we get back to the house and I go upstairs and put a final coat on the small wall in my closet and the master bedroom is completely painted!

Hubby starts to put insulation under the stairs (since you can see the garage if you look down while walking up or down the stairs) and while he did that, I burned our names onto the bedroom floor. (So much for not using our names in the blog, only to end up showing a photo of our names). Lol But it was something I decided on only days ago. Thought it would be very romantic.

So that was the day wrapped up in a nut shell. Then we come home to coffee and a hot dinner from my FAB-U-LOUS mother n law! (and she does it more for me than for him cause she loves me more!!!!!) I can say that cause she will never read this hehehehe She is the best!

Any who …… my legs hurt, shoulder hurts and dinner is ready J
I thought now would be the perfect time for before and after photos. If you cannot tell the difference in before and after, run a bath full of water, hold your head under the water and breath deep! J They are all three photos of the master bedroom.
