Day 25

10 JAN 2012

Let me start by saying Roll Tide Roll! Last night the Crimson Tide took home their 14th National Championship! God lves Alabama!

So, I know what you are thinking. What the hay! You skipped 5 days of blogging. You would be right. I have had calls, emails and messages from friends wanting to know when I was going to update it. I have tried my hardest to keep up with it but I had a bad, bad case of the blahs! Thanks to my girlfriend “Hollywood” that came down from Nashville, I got to get out and have one fabulous day of the best ribs in the world (Dreamland in Huntsville) and shopping! I loved our girltime and think it put me back on track where I needed to be. Here is a peak at us acting like teenagers. Lol

Anyways, what we are here for. Let me catch you up to date on what has been accomplished in the past 5 days. The 2 guys and hubby got the master bedroom AND the kitchen floor down! It looks fabulous! The bedroom closet it sheet rocked and was ready to paint.

We went tonight (me, hubby and one of the guys( The other guy celebrated a little too hard after the Alabama game and took a holiday today J) The guy and hubby took the three power outlets in the kitchen and moved them. One had to be moved down, one had to be moved up and one had to be moved about two and ½ feet to the right. (Thank goodness they know what they are doing). Moving the outlets was kind of time consuming and the one guy got bit by the electricity. Nothing big, just a little bite. OH! Don’t feel sorry for him! He KNEW to turn the breaker off before messing with it! Hehehe

After he left, my hubby ….. oh yeah! And my hubby and I got the cabinets completely stained! All the cabinets are ready to stain and last night he went over and put the first coat of polyurethane on four of the cabinets. (Going to put two coats on them but have to sand between coats).

So …… after guy left today, hubby went into the garage and put the first coat of polyurethane on two of the cabinets and I started on painting the master bedroom. All I can say about me and paint is thank goodness I know how to cook!! I found out tonight that I am not the best painter out there. I got paint in my hair, on my clothes and on my face …..everywhere BUT the walls. Even on the hard wood floors the guys layed down. (But no sweat, it still has to be sanded). I was thankful when hubby showed up and had a roller in hand to help. We got MOST of the bedroom painted. We are going to have to put 2 coats on it because of the color the walls are currently.

Hubby and guy brought in one of the cabinets today so they could get some measurements and I took a photo of it against the wall. The colors are not TRUE to color because it was at night with no light coming in but it will give you an idea.

Hubby and guys have been working really hard on the house and it is coming along great! (Hubby mostly J) I will try to do a better job at keeping all of you updated daily.
